We just celebrated our 18th wedding anniversary. Where else could we celebrate except Disney World. Our wonderful friend
Renee in the cute little hat set up this amazing meet and greet for us. We had such a magical time.
We decided not to spend time in the parks because of the heat so we enjoyed The Boardwalk and Downtown Disney. We had
lots of wonderful food. We even got to spend some time with our friend Jenn.
We were disappointed that we didn't get to spend time with our other friends. Aunt Nay called us Monday morning before
we headed home and said come to the park. She knew that Marlee Anne wanted to see Mickey. We had been trying all weekend to
catch a possible cancellation at Chef Mickey but weren't able to. Mike had taken Marlee Anne swimming so as soon as they
got back up to the room I told them we were going to see Mickey. We met Renee at Epcot and headed on in. We had to meet the
character bus in front of Japan so we headed straight there. We did make a quick stop to see The Genie for a quick picture.
While we were waiting for the character bus I ran up and made priority seating for the restaurant in Japan. That was one of
the places we needed to mark off our list.
The character bus got there and all the CMs told us to come up. We were surrounded by all the characters in no time.
Hugs, laughs and I am sure some tears. It was so great! We got some great pictures. Aunt Nay took Marlee Anne over to see
Mickey. More great pictures. We headed over to see Goofy and the Chip and Dale. Before we could get to Chip and Dale, Kenai
came over and got Mary Elizabeth. He started pushing her all around. She was so excited and grinning from ear to ear. That
helped take her mind off the heat. As the character bus was leaving a great CM named Rick came over and gave each of the girls
a pin.
We headed up to eat and sat with a wonderful family from the UK. It was so nice to sit and visit with them. The food
was great! We have a wonderful Japanese restaurant in our town and I was concerned because this one didn't have the same type
of rice or the sauces I love but it was delicious. I would definitely go back again.
OK that's just a little about our weekend. I will try to write a complete trip report soon.
